Periodontal Disease

Gum disease, known as periodontal disease is a condition which causes inflammation of the soft tissues around the tooth and potentially the jawbone in advance conditions. There are several types of periodontal diseases including chronic periodontitis, aggressive periodontitis, necrotizing periodontitis all which requires different treatments. Dr. Beug will consult with you to determine what type of treatment you require.

Early treatment is critical, as if it is left untreated it can destroy the connective tissue and the jawbone. There are several surgical and nonsurgical treatments which include scaling and root planning, tissue regeneration and pocket elimination surgery. If you should need any of these treatments, you will be referred to a Periodontist Specialist.
