Our Dentist

I was born in Regina, later moving to a farm south of Raymore, where I grew up. Growing up I learned an important lesson in life. The lesson of giving back. I learned it from my parents who were heavily involved in the community, working hard to support local teams and events, building a community swimming pool, and installing artificial ice at the rink.
With the advancement in communications, social media and the internet, I have found ways to give back not only to the community in which I live but also to the global community. In my local community, after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, I established a practice in Regina in 1986, that employs 10 people. My staff and I often do free dentistry services for those less fortunate in the community. We have done fundraisers benefiting groups like Soul's Harbour. Grandmothers for Grandmothers, Hope's Home and various individuals in need of support. For the global community in which I live, I support women's issues.
Along with two of my friends, Lisa Peters and Lois Vanderhooft, we created Your Time Women's Empowerment Foundation. The Foundation's aim is to provide a sustainable menstrual hygiene product for young women who lack resources to cope with the imposition of their monthly period. My hope is that this foundation will continue to grow and help women throughout the world.
I am proud to say one of my greatest accomplishments and giving back is my family. I have a husband of 14 years, who also believes in giving back to the community. My three daughter were all born and raised in Regina; I adopted my oldest daughter from Romania when she was three years old, after the collapse of the Ceausescu regime in that country left many children abandoned and neglected in state orphanages.
I am so fortunate to be doing what I love and living the lesson of giving back taught to me by my parents. I appreciate the support of our patients over the past 33 years and look forward to continuing to give back to them as well.
