Gum Disease

Gum disease is caused by bacteria growing on the teeth and gums. Bacteria in the form of plaque. The bacteria in the plaque feed on sugars present in the foods you eat and drink making toxins. The toxins irritate your gums causing them to bleed and swell when brushed. Over time plaque can harden into tartar causing greater irritation to the gums.
